i have done it. its not a very hard job at all. first thing would be to find a 7th or 8th gen corolla in the junkyard. from this car you will need to pull the shifter, cables, clutch pedal assembly, brake pedal assembly, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder and all the lines going to the clutch hydraulics. save all the bolts and nuts you pull off too. and any clips. the only other thing you will need is a transmission, clutch kit and flywheel. expect to spend anywhere from 500-2000+ depending on if your buying new parts or used. for a flywheel, watch ebay. for the trans, it MUST come from a 8th gen corolla (98-02). clutch kit is something i would just buy new from rockauto.com.

the hardest part of the entire job is drilling the hole in the firewall for the clutch master cylinder. there is a spot marked out for it, but its a pain to get to without removing the dash. i have never removed the dash to do it, so its possible with the dash in.
