Stereo Problems

Okay so I was doing a long trip 2000+ KM. About two hours into the drive my music just stopped producing sound. Here is my set up and it all was professional installed using sodering for the connections none of the twist kiddy stuff.

-Panasonic Deck (1-1/2 Years old) (Wiring Harness Installed)
-Four new Alpine speakers.

I am not sure the problem. My deck still turns on and I can switch to different modes on it (AUX/IPOD/Tuner/CD) All the buttons work. When I snap the face plate in place I hear the speakers connect with a low split second noise. But to no luck will music come out of the speakers.

The only thing I noticed is that after if it stopped playing music I took off the face plate and it was very very hot. Is it possible for these units to over heat? Did I just get unlucky and get a faulty product from Panasonic. Any help is good. Thanks

If anyone wanted to know I actually figured this out.

I guess on the back of after market decks they have a fuse (10). I must have blown it while driving. I just used the spare one under the hood of the car and popped it in, now she works. Cheapest fix I have ever done, a whole 1$ ha.

I keep a set of spare fuses on hand just in case something like this happens.
