Question S vs regular struts

I have a 2000 ce and am looking into replacing the struts and possibly the springs and sway bars. whenever i look at replacement struts online they usually say for s models only or for non s models only. my question is whether the s model struts will be able to fit my car and should i use s model springs? will there be any benefits, or should i just keep my springs replace the struts and go with upgraded sway bars(which i will be doing eventually anyway)?

The Corolla S is just an appearance package. Nothing mechanical changes.

I notice about that too, but it should fit wether it's an S or non S because it's just the same suspensions and everything.

Many times retailers cross list multiple numbers for the same part.

Just upgrade to better aftermarket struts like Tokico HP's and get lowering springs if you want something stiffer and better handling.

You can even use struts from the 93-97 Corolla lol. Same exact suspension from 93-02.

X2 - I just installed a set on the wife's '01, what a difference! Very happy with them, still have stock springs, but it loves corners now.

Drop it a inch or two and throw a strut brace on it. Then that line will actually apply. Too much body roll on stock springs.

Yeah, I'm sure it could get bettter yet, but compared to original stuts with 10 years and 230,000 Km on them, it loves corners now. I don't really want to lower it and compromise it's abilities in deeper snow, but we'll see. Either way I'm very happy with the Tokico's.

i am now also wondering if there are stiffer springs available without lowering or with very little lowering of the suspension? possibly 7th gen wagon springs? i would like a higher spring rate but i already scrape on my driveway sometimes as it is.
