My inside fan that works with all the heating and cooling makes loud noise at medium and higher setting. Higher the setting louder it is.

Are any of your vents closed? If mine are closed all the way I get a high-pitched whine.

If the sound is only loud on re-circulate mode, the return air vent is probably clogged with trash or debris. Check underneath the passenger seat for the plastic return vent and you might need a coat-hanger or similar to clean it out.

Your fan might need to be replaced. Setting the circulation to inside air mode, opens the door to the interior, so the sound comes straight into the car, so it sounds louder.

shouldn't be.... just remove the glovebox and it is right behind there. Check it out, and you can probably find another one in a junkyard or Ebay.

well, the vents themselves will whistle when closed if the sealing foam stuff is missing from the door shutter.
