radio question

Hi

I amgoing to replace my 2000 Corolla stock stereo.In the Haynes manual they list a code to remove the radio.This is supposed to be a theft deterrent.Does anybody know about this.

you dont need it to remove the radio, if you were to reinstall it after disconnecting power you would need the code to get the radio to turn on. Im not even sure if the corolla uses a code, I chucked the crappy stock cassette deck the same day we bought the car
