One thing I despise about the 8 gen. Toyota Corolla is the hassle of getting oil into the crankcase, due to the really shallow area underneath the oil filler hole on the IZZY motor. I think I found the perfect solution to the problem.
After fabricating funnels from old motor oil and MMO bottles, I found one oil can that screws right in to the female threads of the valve cover. You may find other sizes that work too, but the MOBIL 1 5/30 full synthetic bottle(UPC 0 71924 24812 0) screws right in and won't budge allowing you both clearance at the bottom for the oil to actually drain into the crankcase and keeping your other hand free to help balance any 5 qt. jug you might be using. How much you cut off the bottom of the Mobil 1 can is your call, but the threads are right on!! I usually keep it in a Ziploc Freezer Bag in the trunk in my plastic caddy with the other crap I store there so it doesn't roll around. Keeps the fresh oil from getting on other stuff and also keeps the funnel from getting grit in it between uses. Let me know how you like this idea or if something else works better.
If you don't use Mobil 1, find someone that does and bum an empty off of them next time they change oil. Finding one in an Advanced or Auto Zone trash can is an option too.

I use Mobil 1 almost exclusively on my car and have a few empty 1L bottles around. Gotta go cut up one of them.

Snap-on sells nice threaded funnels with a built-in gasket for about $15, availble to fit toyota's. That's what the stylin' use. I don't have one, usually just free-hand-it, but might have to try the mobil bottle idea, the price is right

I just have a regular funnel from auto zone and it works fine. Sure it rests at a tilted angle but it never falls out of the filler hole and I'm not easy with the oil pour either. I pour it in fast and it's not a problem for me at all.
Lock the quart bottle in the funnel prior to filling and voila.
I have one of these too. Except I dare not do this.

Some Second Thoughts: The Draper funnel looks fine, but if you are using a Gallon oil jug, it's doggie-style installation doesn't work. As for holding a funnel shile trying to initiate the pur from a full gallon jug, that's dicey too. I guess if you were using Mobil 11 in the quart sized container, you could pull off the cap and quickly flip the container upside down and over the hole and screw it in quickly, but you imght need to poke a hole in the top. Also not a great idea if you are only adding part of a quart.
YMMV
