Problem with Toyota Corolla 2001

I have the following problem with my car. When I switch to/from "P" gear it kicks a little bit. Is it automatic transmission issue? Thank you!

Shouldn't be. These transmissions are built good.

How many miles on it?

When did he change the fluid last?

Their fluid is supposed to be changed every 3yr/30k miles so if he hasn't done that then he should.

Check the dipstick and make sure it is filled up enough.

Mine used to kick back when going from P to R or R to D. Then I changed the fluid and problem was solved...

If the fluid is full then maybe a flush would help. First if you're able to do this then you could take the pan off and clean off any buildup then take out the old filter screen and insert a new one.

Do you think it could be from mount engine? That's what mechanic told me yesterday.
