Switching from manual transmission to automatic

Yup, had this for quite a while and I'm getting pretty tired to say the least...already have another car that's a stick so I can still enjoy the driving sensation haha.

So, is it hard to do? Tried searching some information, but didn't get lots of it. I'm guessing I'll probably need auto harness? Transmission ECU? Auto trans (obviously). How how many hours would an inclined mechanic take? Worth the swap?

I drove an auto Matrix the other day and I wanted to sell both my corolla and 3000gt for it. Man I'm getting old...haha

About same as a manual swap. You just have to collect the same kind of parts, but for an auto. But, you can save your brake pedal and just get a piece of sheetmetal to block up the clutch master cylinder holes.

But you will be further ahead financially by selling the manual car and buy an auto. Autos are everywhere but manual tend to be snapped up quick, with the kind of high gas prices we're seeing.
