Recharged A/C with redtek 12a

So i decided to recharge my a/c system with redtek. I put a can of proseal and 2 cans of 12a.

However, the results weren't great. i think my compressor may not be running properly? The a/c is cold when i give it gas (2k+ rpm) When its idling (800ish rpm) the air is barely cold at all...

Also i tried their oil analyzer and it seems like there is no oil left in the system at all? Would adding oil in the system help this situation at all?

Personally, I would take the car to a HVAC specialist to do a complete system flush and to put new coolant and oil in.

Corollas are known to have a very good air conditioning system !

That wouldn't solve the leak issue though. even after that bottle of proseal, it seems that the system has leaked again in only a matter of 3 days! i dont want to be shelling so much money to fix this a/c problem. with the amount of kms on my car, i can probably buy another one that has a working a/c for the same price as fixing my a/c?

i will see how much a good HVAC specialist will charge to diagnose the problem?

Well you should try spraying soap with water on your lines, compressor and condenser. Also check your high pressure and low pressure valve, spray soap and water on them they might (unlikely) be leaking.

I havent tried the soapy water method yet, but i did notice after recharging the system it was giving off a very bad odour everytime i turn on the a/c.

The charge only lasted about 3 days and its not blowing cold anymore again....

it is R12a, which works with r134. of course the old r134 has to be vacuumed first. Mines was completely empty already so i just filled it without vacuuming.

R12: Dichlorodifluoromethane, CCl2F2
R134a: 1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane, CH2FCF3
R12a: Claims to be proprietary, but mostly propane.

Always put R134a, period. The car has been designed to work with R134a. R12 was the best but R134a does a pretty good job.
