USA 2000 Toyota Corolla Power problem

When I turn the car on, it idles low and if I give it a little gas on neutral, the rpm's will slowly rise. If I give it more gas it would, kind of choke and rpms would fall. There is very little power and if your at a stoplight and you start going again, the car will very slowly accelerate. Works fine after about 40-50 mph. I also noticed it was eating gas more now. I don't know if it's the maf sensor.

Here's what I did so far:
- Ran it with CEL reader and It gave me a P0171 code which said "System to lean (Bank 1)"
- I unplugged the maf sensor and the car would turn on and shut off immediately
- I cleaned the maf sensor and still nothing

Any ideas what's going on?

Could be a vacuum leak.

When you cleaned the MAF sensor, did you really blast it with cleaner, including the hair's width wires down the tube?

PROBLEM SOLVED:

I replaced the MAF sensor with a brand new one.
Works perfect.
