newbie question

Hi, I have just bought a Corolla 98. The problem might be simple but I need to know experts opinions
When I switch the car ( before the car fully started to work) check engine, Brakes and oil pressure warning lights get on all together. However, when the car get ready to move (when the I turn the switch completely) all of them get off and everything works just fine. Now is it normal? Should I be concerned and go to a mechanic/dealer?

That's normal. It is lighting up all the indicators so that you know the bulbs are not burned out. Otherwise if the check engine light was supposed to trip on, but the bulb was burned out, the driver would not see it.

A question comes to my mind:
then why other indicators are not getting on? Does this mean there is a problem with their bulbs?
