VIN checks..??

Its been a while since I've been here.

Now have a 20 yr old daughter that after driving my wifes 2001 rolla, is about to buy her first car and want to go with a similar/identical vehicle...white of course.!. We have one in mind and I wonder if there is actually a sub-forum here where one can do a VIN check to see what has transpired to this vehicle from facrtory roll-out to the end of its warranty. Unit has 154,000km on odometer & is in decent mechanical shape.

Besides the dealer, where can I get this info.?

Call the dealer if you want that information.

Think about this though, any information the dealer has about warranty work on 11-12 year old car is so woefully out of date as to be utterly pointless.

I'd take the toyota to a mechanic have him put it on a lift and check it for leaks, body/frame damage, etc.
