1999 Toyota Corolla Rims heating up?

I have a 1999 4 door LE
After driving for about 15 mins the steering wheel begins to shake and causes me to stop the vehicle. After a few minutes its fine again.
The Driver side rims get extremely hot!
These rims have been on the car for a few years

Any suggestions?

I am thinking something is going on with the caliper?

Spray water on the brake rotor. Does it sizzle? OK it should, you have to use the brake to stop the car don't you? But does it sizzle as much on the other side?

Either something is dragging or your brake rotor could be warped.

Drive the car until it shakes, then jack up that wheel and rotated by hand even push pull on the wheel check for bearing play. Good chance it might be the calipre.

You more than likely have a bad brake caliper. Replace it and you should be fine.
