1998 CE AC Panel Lights and Gear indicator lights

I bought a 1998 corolla and since buying it the AC Panel Lights and the Gear shift indicator lights are not working. I've checked the fuse box behind the "Storage Only" bin but for the life of me cannot find the other fuse box that is supposed to be by the passenger. All the fuses that I did find checked out okay. Also, the 3rd break light doesn't work as well, so I'm not sure if this is related. I've checked that bulb and it seemed fine.

The AC panel indicators and gear shift indicator lamp issue could be just a burned out bulb. If it was a fuse, the other dash indicator lamps, clock, and interior lamps would also be out. You have more fuses under the hood of the car, right by both fender aprons.

3rd brake light issue could be from a number of things - from a bad connection to the bulb itself (corrosion, shorted wiring, etc.). Could be related to the other lamp issues if it is a short (ie, shorting across those wires), but should also have popped a fuse.

Double check the fuse first, do a continuity check on the bulbs to verify if they are OK or not, then it might be a matter of just visually inspecting the wires to see if there are any obvious shorts, damage to the wiring, etc.
