Thumbs up My engine looks ok? picture inside

Hi all, I had oil coming out from the engine head so I replaced the gasket.
During that I took a picture of the upper level, all the area appears to coat with burned oil, but I didn't find any sludge.

Is my engine is ok?

Its typical ( though a little heavy) of the varnish build up in these engines. How many miles and are yo burning oil? I would start using synthetic or at least a high detergent oil like Rottela.

I done 80,000 Miles, the engine does eat oil but I need to check now if this happen because of the gasket change (signs of oil all over it).
When I asked my mechanical about changing to fully synthetic oil he said its too late for engine which eats oil.

It depends on how much you are burning, If its just starting burn a small amount of oil, then you have a chance using a high detergent oil with no more than 3000 miles between oil changes. Really, from the looks of your engine , I would agree with your mechanic that its too late. Once the carbon has clogged all the oil holes in the pistons and the rings are sticking the only solution is to remove the pistons and clean them by hand and then use ONLY synthetic oil.
