Noisy fuel injectors ?

I have a 2000 with 235000 kms on it. Have had since new and has been very well maintained, does not burn any oil.
Last few years I have noticed a ticking noise when cold weather comes and car is first started up, but would go away when warmed up. This year I have noticed it more, so I tried to find sound with a long screwdriver and it is coming from the fuel rail right in front of the injectors.

Anyone else with a high mileage Corolla experienced this?

Car runs great, the screwdriver trick really pinpointed where it was coming from.

My 2000 corolla (3zz-fe 1.6 engine, EU model) also ticks. Dealer told me it were the injectors, screwdriver trick on the injectors - loud noise.

Ticking is worst when the engine is cold, but never goes away. Had the injectors cleaned ultrasonic, no improvement. But the car runs great, no ECU errors, dealer told me not to worry. So I don't worry about is, as long as the sound stays the same :P

Mine runs great too, just noticing as it gets older the noise in more pronounced, especially when cold.
Would like to know why they are louder when it gets cold outside?
