Transmission Oil Plug Crush Washer

I replaced my daughter's transmission oil in her 2002 toyota corolla, LE (auto trans) and purchased a new crush washer. Which way does the crush washer go, small side with 3-tabs in against transmission oil pan, and larger side against plug/bolt head or vise versa? thanks,

The Toyota Part Number is 35178-30010 Gasket, Transmission, $3.63 each, (parts diagram shows part #35106B)

I just did that, did not think it mattered, or I got lucky. Pretty sure I put it as you described. No leaks. Don't torque it like a oil drain bolt, will strip it.

This is why I don’t go to Vegas….I had a 50-50 chance at getting this crush washer direction right and I blew it….I was wrong. I spoke with two different certified Toyota Mechanics today at the Toyota dealership and they both confirmed the crush washer on transmission drain plug goes: small side with 3-tabs against drain plug/bolt head & larger side against transmission oil pan.
