What kind of bulb is used for the shifter light?

The light for my gear shifter is blown but i dont want to open the whole panel and then have to put it together and then open again. so im wondering if anyone know what kind of bulb is used for the shifter light.

You should be just fine with a 74 bulb

34 bulb or a 74 bulb i used a 74 and it was fine

dont forget to not throw out the light de-amplifier!

(no really, the oem bulb is covered by a plastic sheath the dim the lights some, for some stupid reason that makes no sense.)

The stock bulb is 194, but you can make smaller bulbs work as well. But why do that when you can use the brighter 194 bulb.

The plastic sheath thing is supposed to color the light green. Chances are, you won't be able to get it off, as it is old.
