Clutch Master Cylinder bleeding problems

Today I replaced the clutch master cylinder on my '99 corolla. when pumping the clutch, the pedal has no feeling and the master cylinder does not get fluid. I don't know why it isn't getting fluid. If anyone can help that would be great. thanks.

Air in the system for sure. Did you bench bleed the master?

No I did not. The master cylinder is a pain to take off.

Detach clutch piping from master cylinder. Put finger over opening. Pump. Keep pressure on opening as your helper take foot off clutch. Reconnect piping when you feel brake fluid all over finger. Wipe off any and all brake fluid spilled.

This is how you can bleed the master cylinder without taking it out. When done, move to bleeder plug on slave cylinder and bleed the works.
