1998 Corolla LE keyless entry

I bought the car used and I'm pretty sure it at one point had remotes for keyless entry. I bought a remote on ebay and I'd like to program it. My car has a Toyota Security status light near the e brake on the center console but the LED light does not flash and I've never seen it light up. It also has a blue LED light near the automatic mirror control that comes on when I shut the car off. I looked under the drivers seat and I'm not seeing the ECU for the RS3000 system that the car should be equipped with. Is there another possible location for it? The car automatically locks the doors when the car is started and unlocks them when the car is shut off so I'm pretty sure it has the RS3000 installed somewhere. Maybe I'm missing it under the drivers seat? Is it very small? Maybe it's hidden under the carpet? If anyone can help It would be much appreciated.

Given the blue light, sounds more like it has an aftermarket system that is in valet mode.
