Misfiring Cylinders 98 corolla

Here is my story:

history:

I had a fuel system warning which was triggering the check engine light. I believe there was a leak in the exhaust somewhere and i wasn't going to waste time until i had to pass emissions to test it. The mechanic said they'd need to pump smoke into the fuel tank to find the leak. I mention this to let you know that there was always a check engine light on and the OBD II sensor read warning "ready" "fuel"....

what happened:

On a saturday morning i was going to take my mother in law to pick up her car (volvo) from a local mechanic. When i started up my 98 corolla it felt like a cylinder was misfiring. the mechanic was about 1/2 a mile down the road and the car was running so i decided to give it a try and make it to the mechanics and have him take a look at it. I also don't have a obd II scanner so i was going to use there's.

when i got there i opened up the hood (should have done it at home) and saw that my spark plug wires were chewed through by a rodent. At least one wire was completely chewed through, another looked like it might have had the conductor severed as well.

I also inspected other wires and didn't see any problems, so i decided i'd just hoof it back home on 3 cylinders and replace the wires at home. I don't know what i was thinking, i should have just replaced them there.

Anyways, on my way back it starts to feel like i'm really loosing a lot of power and began to get a blinking check engine light. When i get back home right when i pull into my driveway, the engine shut itself off.

I went and got the new spark plug wires and installed them. I started the car again just fine and it seemed to be running better, however, when i try to take the car out of park and put it in to reverse or drive the engine turns itself off after after a few seconds. I put it in neutral and reved the engine a bunch. the exhaust smelled a lot like unburnt gasoline.

Anyways, i hooked up a obd II sensor to it and these are the following error codes i got:

p0300
p0301
p0303

pending codes
p0300
p0301
p0304

monitors:
catalyst
evap
02 sensor
02 heater

3 ready monitors:
misfire
fuel
comp

So, I'm not sure what my next move should be.

It definately feels like its probably still misfiring. I think i should change out the spark plugs.

Any advice on my next steps?

Can running the car on 2 or 3 cylinders cause the 02 sensor to fail, or mess up the catalytic converter?

I've done a visual inspection to see if any other wires are getting chewed, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Thanks,
matthew

Could be bad/dirty fuel injectors. Try a couple runs of Chevron Techron complete fuel system cleaner, see if that helps.
