Easiest way to change TPS?

Okay, from before I have confirmed my Mother's car has a bad TPS. To top it off, she has misplaced the manual and funds are tight. It looks easy to remove IF you have a clear shot at it. But There are so many vacuum lines and the coolant line in the way. I don't want to risk stripping the screws.

It looks like it would be easier to remove the throttle body to safely remove those screws. I have tried to access the lower screw with a screwdriver, no room. Then I tried with a ratchet and screw bit, but I don't think I can safely get enough pressure on top without damaging the screw.

So to those who have done this, is it better to just remove the throttle body to do this correctly? I'll have the manual soon one way or another, and I won't be doing this until Sunday.

Big problem is she has had too many shade tree dumbarses mess around with it already. I prefer not to do anything than doing it wrong.

Thanks. You guys are the best!

Yes, remove the throttle body, it's much easier.

You will spill coolant in doing so, so either get a pan for underneath the car or you need some hose clamps to clamp off the coolant lines while you are working.

Thanks. I'll be doing it step by step by the book this Sunday.
