99 Corolla chugs when u stop, sometimes!

I have a 99 Corolla with 160,00 mi., when you come to a stop it will start to chug, it doesn't do it all the time but seems to be getting more frequent. After doing a little research it sounds like it could be the EGR valve or maybe catalytic conv., no lights no codes, looking for a little input. Thank you very much.

Is it a vvt-i or non vvt-i? Consuming oil? Usually a chugging or rough idle with no lights can be solved with some maintenance (fluid changes, fuel system cleaner, throttle body/sensor cleaning, tuneup, etc). A vibration will feel different. The whole interior shakes. That can be a bad motor mount. Doesnt sound like your problem

Thank you for the input, not sure on the vvt-i but will check into and do your suggestions, tune up, etc. Will post how it turns out, thanks again.
