2000 corolla misfires

Hey, new to the fourm.

I have a 2000 corolla and I am having a misfiring problem. The car runs fine going highway speed and runs really rough at idle. The codes I got off the code reader are: p0304-misfire on cyl 4, p1300,p1305, p1310, and p1315 wich are manufacture controlled. What does that mean? The pending codes are p0300-random misfires, p0303 misfires cyl 3, p0171 system too lean (bank 1). Any and all help would be apperciated.

thanks,
jamie carter

What do the codes mean? All your coils may be bad...and your MAF sensor may be bad... Doubtful thats the case so we need to start at the beginning.

How many miles?
When was the last tuneup?
Has any recent repair work been done?

This could also be a vacuum leak, possibly the intake manifold gasket.

this is your problem. fix this, and the misfires will go away.

as pdq stated up above, this is a vacuum leak. start by checking lines under the hood. 90% chance you've got a rotted hose somewhere letting in a lot of unmetered air.

Well looks like I found my problem check your injectors. A mechanic friend of mine said to swap cyl 2 injector with another cyl. When I pulled it there was a crack down the front .today I went to a u pull yard got 2 injectors for $ 20 bucks PROBLEM FIXED ! Before she
would barely do 70 mph down hill. now she purrs like a kitten.and the C.E.L. is out! p.s. i went through a can of carb spray no vacuum leaks.
