Couple questions regarding a 98 Prizm i bought

Had a 94 prizm before.., Just sold it and picked up a 98 in very good shape. Everything i hated about the 94, has improved with the 98.. Great car.. Now i have a couple questions. Both are 3 speed transmissions, are they the same trans or different?

Also noticed a small vibration as im accelerating kind of hard, what could this be?

Also the seat belt light flashes on the dash, How do i stop that?

Ill have a couple more questions in a bit. Thanks

What was the matter with the 94? I believe the 3 speed trannys are the same.

94 had alot wrong with it, motor mounts were bad so the car vibrated alot, struts were going bad and making noises, no power steering due to massive leak, was damaged in front, I got an amazing deal on this 98 prizm, i still cant believe it

There was a TSB for the seatbelt light, something to do with the seatbelt harness itself. I deleted the bookmark unfortunately, but there is a TSB online.

My 00 does it too mostly in the summer for some reason. Only fix (according to dealer) is a costly belt replacement. I cleaned all the connection points real good, seemed to help.

The 98 prizm 3sp has a A131L in it. You can probably look up the year and model and 3sp keywords on your 94 and will probably run across the transmission type. I also think it's the same but not certain. If someone like Autozone doesn't find the trans type listed on their computer system for your 94 3sp, I think either their website, or ORielly's website will pull up the transmission type # on the replacement rebuilt transmissions, and that way you can find out for sure if the 94 has the same 3sp in it.

Cheers
