Low idling/idle

My idle is sometimes at 580,600, and 625 but mostly 625 at stops and idling. I know that normal idle is at about 700 for auto and 750 for manual but mine is auto.

I have cleaned throttle body and intake manifold and maf like a month ago. Replaced IM gasket and TB gasket. Checked my spark plug gap .043-.044. I don't suppose i would have a vacuum leak. Soon to change my oil too.

If you have a model year 2000+ Corolla, look into cleaning the MAF sensor as well. Other than that, a vacuum leak could be a possible source for your low idle.

Any recent work to the car / engine? What oil viscosity are you running, what brand of oil? Checked air filter? What's your driving conditions / how often do you drive the car? Sometimes if the car hasn't seen too much usage - a hard run on the highway might be able to straighten this issue out.

I have recently just cleaned my MAF not long ago and filter is fine, using recommended oil grade (forgot what brand but it is for high mileage oil), my car is daily driven, and only thing i did was putting in a 3 inch cai along with a maf tuning i bought from quick2000 thingy to help it run. I could possibly look into changing all my vacuum line too but i will check back here after i finish with some oil change and other maintenance.

I wouldn't worry about it to much. My car idles below 750 rpm w/o a CAI. Sometimes it even drops to 600 rpm. If you are worried about your car stalling... There is an idle adjustment screw on the TB.

If you do not remember what oil your using I would suspect its low. Check it. Recommend you use synthetic oil for your change, Mobil 1 high mileage 5w-30 is a good one. Also use 2 bottles of techron concentrate in the gas.

I havent been using any fuel additives lately and my oils are ok. Besides i bought bg 109 along with bg MOA for my next oil change and instead of bg 44k, i bought bg cf5 since it was cheaper.

nowadays that it has been raining and cold, it seems idle is fine at stops when in drive or in neutral.
