Belt tensioner bushing replacements

Howdy,

Have posted details in my other thread about engine / transmission growl about how I made my own replacement bushings, but gads, there's got to be some source somewhere (have looked high and low), for replacements for the black plastic bushings that just snap into the ends of the belt tensioner. Having been in manufacturing in the past, it shouldn't cost bulk manufacturing much more than 10c to make this part yet, it seems no parts suppliers are providing these separately, yet being forced to shell out $100 to $150 (depending on what brand/source you buy from) for a replacement tensioner just doesn't make sense.

Does anyone know of a source where a person can buy just the plastic bushings that are on each end of the tensioner? They just snap in, so it should be no brainer, but for the life of me, have had no luck finding. If anyone knows of a supply source, I think everyone would be more than grateful for the help.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, happens alot for those types of parts. I haven't seen any retail source for something like that - vendors that make those components generally just deal with larger orders - they don't really care about selling a handful to the end user, not worth their time.

If you get lucky, might be able to get those fabbed up via rapid prototyping or similar, otherwise, it would cost you as much to get someone to make the tooling and pop out a couple of those bushings or cut them yourself or buy from a salvage yard.
