Canada 2002 Corolla Speedometer Problem

I just realised this after many months, that my speedo reads 5km/s more than what i am actually driving at. Is this common and is there a quick and easy fix to it?

thanks

Reading a couple under is common with lots of cars. Auto makers want to make sure you are not going faster than what it says, so most will make the speedo a little on the fast end. Most of my cars read 2-3 MPH faster then the GPS.
Question 1: what tire and size are you running?
Question 2: What did you use to confirm that you are running slower? GPS is more accurate then other methods (IE: police speed carts or driving behind someone else and getting their speed compared to yours).

oops wanted to mention but forgot, tires are oem size, inflated to oem spec.

Tests were done with a phone gps, and a radar. tests were also done with my other car, a newer corolla, on which the speedo is precise.

Corolla 2002 shows 5 km more.

Corolla 2006 does not.
