Yeah, I had the same thing happen on Saturday
And it is totally the MAF. P0103. You fry those things without even trying. And it doesn't matter if you arc it against the intake, or just sent a surge through the system inadvertently somewhere else. The maf is fragile and you fry it. So, best advice I have heard, can't remember if it was this site, or MO, or the GenVibe, but some wise guy said, DISCONNECT the maf b4 touching either battery terminal... just do it. Yeah, you can be careful, and 9 times out of 10 you'll be cool, but they are just too easy to fry, so take them out of the circuit first thing.
Autozone and NAPA have them in stock at most of their stores, so if you are in a hurry and can't wait for mail order... go to the counter and pay the man.
BTW in limp mode, I could still do 65 on the expressway in 5th gear. That's not so bad, it just took a while to limp up to that speed.
