door check strap?

how hard is it to fit a door check strap on a front driver side toyota corolla t-sport? Has anyone done this before?

Door panel has to be removed to pull it out from inside the door, after removing the two outer bolts.

It is overpriced for such a substandard component.

Ebay's copy of Honda part # 72380-SNA-J01 for 2006-2011 Civic sedan should fit and work as it's also 50 mm between bolt hole center to center. Even Honda's OEM door check sells for much less than Toyota's OEM for 9th gen Corolla.

door check strap, is the part that fits to the middle of the two bolts that hold on your door. it is the part that stops your door opening fully, and stops it from closing shut on you. Hope that explains it?
toyota priced at 75. I nearly took a heart attack for what it is, grossly overpriced....
Managed to pick one up at the scrap yard for 25, even that to me is a lot of money for a small piece of metal.
