I own an 05 corolla and have had several problems with squeaks and rattles in the dash. The latest is a ¼” gap between the radio trim and the dash (would attach photo, but don't know how). Dealer has tried to repair 3 times already, and has not been able to fix… in the end, all the service rep could say was ‘they all don’t fit very well’. I expected a lot more from a Toyota.
Does anyone else have same problems????
Don't give up and demand a new dash if they can't fix the problem with yours. It sounds to me like it was warped before install and things are just popping out now. Just go back and tell the service department that they need to replace the dash or try and fix yours because you are just not happy with the way it is now. Squeaks and things not fitting right are unaceptable in my opinion.

My car had the same problem, and since I am in the car audio business I decided to takle this one myself... one problem was that the fact harness wires were up against the radio which would let it slide all the way in, second four 10mm bolts hold the screw on the botton, and I bet the dealership just set the radio in there and tightened them, but what I did is simple, just push up the radio assembly untill it looks good, them just tightent the four 10mm bolts and it looks waaaay better.... may wanna c if they want to try that

BTW I have a 05 corolla s

Thanks. I'd like to try making the adjustment myself (to save me taking the car back to the dealer AGAIN)...how do you access the 4 screws mentioned?
Also have terrible buzzing from front driver's side pillar when radio is turned up...do you have solution for that?
To access the four screws first remove the trim around the shifter from the back forth, then take out the middle AC control knob and remove a phillips screw, after that the whole center console minus the radio assembly is held in by pressure clips, gently pry the whole center piece off and once you have done that unplug it and stow it (while unplugged dont turn on the IGN of the car or you will set off the airbag light), and once that is done you will see four 10mm silver screws under the radio assembly..... first unscrew them and pull out the radio assembly carefully and check the harness and make sure it is out of the way of the radio in the back, and once that is done pisition the radio assembly back in the cavity and put tw fingers above the CD opening in the radio and push up untill you hear a click, which means you clipped in the top, then finish it off with the four screws back and there ya go, clean looking radio in a clean lookin car....I would post pics but dont have anywhere to host them sorry... then just reassemble the rest of the car and youre done...... lemme know how it works out....

I am not sure what you mean by "remove the trim around the shifter from the back forth, then take out the middle AC control knob ". What are you calling the Shifter? is it different on a Corolla S 5 spd?
In all honestly, and perhaps luckily, my wife's '05 S is remarkably quiet - squeak/rattle-free (at least the interior....tensioner pulley bearings are starting to go a bit ) Or nmaybe it just seems quiet compared to my daily driver - '92 Celica GT convertible that squeaks/pops/rattles/wind-noise in a very noticable way, to say the least Actually, my vert is quieter to drive with the top down, I believe....lol
There was a thread here in which a guy pulled his radio out and repositioned it back in and that took care of his "gap" problem..It's not that hard to do, I've changed bulbs the same way!
