Lift controller just came out for the XRS (Hydra EMS) and Apexi PFC will have a harness available for XRS as well. It lowers lift to 5700 rpm and raises the rev limiter to 8700 rpm. It is still a bit new so you might want to wait for a while. Or you can buy Hydra EMS and get it tuned by Monkey Wrench Tuning. They specialize in 2ZZ. You can email them and find out. www.monkeywrench.com.

If you are curious, you can see hydra tuned XRS with bolt ons:

Before you think of tuning, I would recommend starting with basic bolt ons since 2ZZ responds extremely well to them i.e. Cold Air Intake, Exhaust, Fidanza flywheel, Clutch etc. These are best bang for the buck since combined they make the XRS dyno around 175 whp whp (up from 150 whp stock).

I'm like the rest of your XRS owners waiting for a PFC adapter and made one myself!! I got it running last night and had my stroker upto 9500 rpm!! changed the lift point to 6000 rpm. to bad the track is closed till spring!! the only issues I have right now is the temp gauge, A/C, leak detector,(don't really care about this), not shur about the transponder key yet. anybody interested? I looked at the '05 matrix XRS book and the wiring is the same as the '05 Corolla Xrs, I'll check the other years of matrix. any celicas with a stroker and Pfc who has any maps?

any reason why you went with the pfc instead of the hydra? only reason i asked is because hydra has a fix for those issues and is a standalone

and i think 5500 is the optimal start for lift
