Start Up Cheat Code (Bypass Key Code)

Does anyone know the Toyota Corolla (05) start up cheat code where you can start up the car using a spare key without the security transponder chip in it like the Honda bypass code where you use a series of press and pulls of the emergency brake with a few rotations of the ignition key turns between the on and start positions to start the car? (some also use on and off positions of the radio)

It's kind of like using the secret codes to reveal DVD Easter Eggs or Video Game Cheats.

On further checking using a blank Toyota transponder key Toyota uses a master (black head) and sub master key (grey head) system, similar to their mechanical valet key system. The valet/sub master will operate door and ignition locks and start the vehicle but cannot be used to introduce the new key to the vehicle. The master key is used in conjunction with a series of ignition on/off cycles and opening and closing of the door to introduce new keys. (Board Author: Phi FYI- How Transponder Keys Work )

My interest is in using a standard spare key without a tranponder chip (the spare key in my wallet should I lose the large head Toyota transponder key)

why not just keep a standard transponder key near your ignition switch so you can use a metal key from Lowes or Home Depot?

Never heard of this type of bypass on Toyota's.

Suggest you make a duplicate transponder master key and keep in a safe location or use valet keys. If you lose the master key its can be VERY expensive to replace.

It was more expensive on older Toyotas. The newer models aren't very bad, you can completely reset the system and program a new master key. Toyota would have to do it though.

Older Toyota immobilizers required replacement of the ECU.

(9th Gen Corollas are the newer type).
