Turbo 9th gen top-speed?

Hey guys I will be slapping in a Turbo and strenghtening the internals for my 03 Corolla S auto and take out the speed limiter...

I was wondering on the 4th gear top speed??? because my friend at Toyota Philippines said the A/T has a better top speed than the M/T at 160MPH tops is this true?

My major objective is to make at least 260HP and just beat the SRT-4s at TOP Speed matches...

Any advice on what else I should install, besides changing the tires to Z-rated,changing to Hawk pads, installing a catback exhaust, syn-oil, coil overs or atleast something better, rigidity bars and maybe rear disc?

Thanks for some help on my sleeper project...

i think your gonna be into alot of money i doubt the trans will hold up to 260, theres no way your gonna make 260 on stock internals your probably gonna be into forged crank, rods, low CR pistons, Which i think will all have to be custom, $$$$$$$

I think somewhere around 180-200 sounds more realistic based on what your talking about..

Do some reasearch about this project your gonna find theres alot of holes and issues with these plans, sorry to be a downer but....

Doubt it, as A/T has more drivetrain loss.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YO262JbTl_M found this vid... even a mexican can make it go 130MPH and it could go to 160 4th gear OD at 6800RPM and the limiter disabled...

I just have to change the torque converter...

Doesn't seem like he is going the turbo route, his mind is constantly changing....

Most people say they would do so and so but usually doesn't follow up. Oh well.

Good luck chazbrazil on your project. Keep us posted.

What's the point, you're never gonna hit 160mph with it.

Maybe if you start out with a Corolla XRS. MAYBE.

But a regular S? The SRT-4 is still gonna rape your ass.

If you watch the video, the indicated speed is a little over 220 (km/h). 220km/h = 137mph = really stupid on public roads.
