Lawyers range from 100-300 an hour. I'd say average is around $175

Yeah, I know, but he can always influence her, which I think hes doing since the mom and I were supposed to meet to end things. All of a sudden she says she wants to wait for her lawyers advice. Every time I talk to the mom, the son calls a few minutes later. Then I call the mom to find out she changed her mind, which she did a lot. Knowing lawyers, hes going to tell her to make me buy the car. My dad talked to his coworkers about this, and 2 of them said they were conned by a duo of Iranian sellers, ie the female acts all sweet while the male does the deal.

As for the lawyer fee, do they include processing papers and the wait? Or are they the actual time your in discussions with the other party?

You should have been more careful with the purchase. Did you by any chance get the refund and deposit agreement in writing? If not I don't want to say it but, "tough luck." You should be smart about things like a car, its a big purchase.

that is also illegal. A person that doesn't own the car, cannot sell the vehicle for someone else. Well it is alteast in ontario.

one thing I see so far, is there a 3rd person there when you give him the money for deposit? or did you have a recipe said he took the money off you and he signed?

2nd does the name of the registation is same person who took your deposit money? if not the same you can sue whoever took the money by selling something not belong to him. that is illegal, like I sold the company I work for good amount of money but my boss don't even know?

3rd if you decide to let lawyer to deal with the car, you only need to tell him or his mom, "my lawyer going to handle it, any more question, talk to my lawyer." that will give them something to worry about it, even you did or did not let the lawyer handle it.( but in their end they knows is something wrong because is the sub removal cause the problem so as the car still at their drive way.)

4th, if they did sign over the car to you when he took the deposit, well basically you are the owner of the car, and the car end up is on his driveway, you can just call the police said he stole your car by use the spare keys
