Unhappy Blue paint / clear coat problems 2007

Bought a 2007 Matrix for my wife in january and the paint is already having issues. Driven about 30 miles a day during the week. Every little thing seems to scratch the clear coat, paint already scratched in a few places, and rusting. I'm taking it to the Toyota dealership and then to a paint shop that buddy owns for his opinion. Any one else having paint problems with new cars?

Why posting.

Cause if the paint is the problem, wouldn't want someone with the same problem but a different model to miss out on the conversation.

I have a 2006 corolla CE Super White. I have had many problems with my paint. The paint chips really easily. About 2 months of owning the car there was rust on the roof. The tree over my car drops this orangey stuff but i try to was it of every week or two but it ate right through the paint. I have always known to get rid of the rust and paint over it. Which is what i did and I took it to the toyota dealership and they said that the paint is voided on my warrantee since i touched it. I have to wax it all the time to keep it from rusting.

I have a 07 toyota corolla black sand pearl color and i have problems with my paint too. The first couple months i had it, it looks like someone sat out and shot it over and over with a bb gun on the hood, just from driving down the road normally, road debri that shouldnt have any effect seems to knock the paint right off and now i can see the gray primer underneth the paint.

I have an 03S in silver and outside of some normal chips from stones I haven't had any problems, but my drivers seat mounts are rusting, the bottom of the seat that bolts to the floor...I already brushed, sanded and repainted it but it keeps rusting up again...The passenger side is fine...Must be from salt on my shoes..I know one thing it dents easy!

when ongreystreet posted this in the matrix forum I linked to your post about your corolla johnny(http://toyotanation.com/forum/t185271.html) .

ongreystreet one post about this topic is enough, take it to the dealer and stop crying.

You sound like the one cryin'. I got an honest problem and am just looking for some advice or experiences.

Your problem is over 500 posts in less then 6 months. 90 POSTS A MONTH? DO YOU EVEN GET IN YOUR CAR? PROBABLY ONE OF THOSE LOSERS THAT SITS AT THEIR COMPUTER ALL DAY GETTING INTO OTHER PEOPLES BUSINESS, CAUSE YOU'VE GOT NONE OF YOUR OWN.

So if anyone has a comment about my post and can give me some insight, I appreicate that.

But if you have nothing better to do then start stuff then F-off.

And as for you Ghost Rider, feel free to reply with something cruel. But that sort of thing only has an affect on people like yourself that live through your computer.

Thanks to everyone else that has replied. I have kind of come to the conclusion that Toyota has a pretty weak clear coat. Winter is over and I have polsihed and waxed it again, I'll see how it lasts through the summer. The new color speedway blue is real problem when it comes to these sorta issues. But being our first new car and first Toyota, at least it should last awhile and be safer then her old ESCORT.

If you keep attacking members, your going to get less responses next time you have a question. Take your own advice and ignore the posts not to your liking. Some people choose to read or accept what they want to hear and not the truth not matter how cruel. Perhaps those members have contributed greatly in aiding others in their problems, (which is more then what you can say, no offense).

But...enough of that. Your problem can be read here on this thread which I was discussing about the paint. Your answer is in it.

How about you all shut the hell up and if you dont have anything to say about the topic at hand other than smart ass comments, then dont speak up at all. Some of us just want to see whats going on with everyone elses rides. One post is ok and if a lot of people have the same prob, then maybe adress it to the other models.
