On the Brake Drum near the center are two opposing threaded bolt holes. Find two bolts the are threaded correctly for bolt holes. Simultaneously screw in both bolts two ratchets work best the drum will usual make a popping sound a it breaks free then slides right off. Don't worry about the popping sound this is due to many times the drum is stuck on the center spindle due to rust and heat.
The two bolts did the trick, and it was slick! Opened up to find drum blue, musta got pretty hot. Front side of shoe cooked. Will replace both drums and shoes on both sides, wheel cyl look fine.
Can't really see anything causing noise but all new parts should make it go away, there cheap enough, why not.
Check your rear wheel bearings while your doing the brake job...I found a bad one on my corolla that was making a humming sound...It's easy to replace...
My noise is described below, as I responded in another post to someone else who drove with ebrake on:
"When I first bought my 2005 Corolla LE, my wife drove (6K miles) about 20 with the ebrake on, talk about smell - she does this with all my cars.
Ever since (46K miles now) when it is wet out, rain/snow the right rear brake makes this huge grinding and squealing sound as well as locks up. If I drag the brake slightly while driving with the ebrake handle and dry it out it the noise and locking up goes away.
Something about that pad getting wet. I'm wondering if its glazed or has brake fluid on it. I took it to Toyota before warranty was up and they said all looked fine. Of course I didn't tell them what really happend."

Does anyone know what size bolts are needed for these 2 holes? apparently I do not have the correct size in my toolbox and am wondering what size they need to be so that I can get them from OSH or Home Depot...

i believe they are 8x1.25mm

That means it is an8 MM diameter bolt with a pitch of 1.25, which means that the distance from one thread to the next is 1.25 MM. Common bolt, easy to find.
Grease the springs and parking brake tensioner (basically any moving metal part of the brake system).... was hearing brake noise when applying the brakes... after I cleaned and greased the front discs the noise went away (I'm at 61,000 miles now)... first brake inspection/cleaning (I am the first owner)).
Just did the rears this past weekend to finish the 4 wheels....
