2005 Alarm Question

I just bought a 2005 Corolla from my mother who cannot drive anymore ( i bought her last Corolla too :-) wife and I love em) She has lost the Owners Manual and just about everything else too that came with the car after a rear end accident when the car was new. She took everything out afraid the garage might take something and promtly lost all of it ><...

On the receipt it says Passive Alarm I assume this is factory? Our last one was put on at the Dealership and though I was with her to buy this one I cannot remember whether this was or not...

My issue is she tells me there is a way to turn it off without the fob or if the fob doesn't work but she can't remember how...does anyone know or do I have to contact the dealer? On my 2001 the alarm put in at the dealership (which was upstate 75 miles because my brother knew the guy) it was a disaster when we bought it because only one fob worked right and we went upstate to get more and they were closed down so after my wife got stuck on Long Island and couldn't get in the car...we stopped and haven't used the alarm in years.

I would prefer that not happen again though I have 3 working fobs right now :-)

My other alarm question is this the alarm arms after 30 seconds no matter what! Even with the car on ACC... It has never been a problem till last week (though always annoying) when I went to get satellite in the car (cannot live without it). I had to hit unlock every mintue or so during the whole install, if not it kept arming no matter what. It just doesn't seem right but I have no documentation at all.

Thanks for any info you might have its a 2005 Corolla LE, I love it btw but have been told by my wife that the 2001 is now MY CAR!!! Thats does not seem fair!

No takers huh? Oh well thanks anyway.

Anyone know if I do have a factory alarm? My mother doesn't know and lost everything.

A recent find, when I got the Sirius installed last week he was a little sloppy and there was a box that fell out hanging by wires...I thought it was the FM Modulator (I'm good with Mechanics but not with Electronics :-() when I grabbed some double side tape it turns out that guess what? It was an AUDIOVOX shock sensor!

Id I'm thinking this was now installed at the dealer after now right? Or does Toyota use Audiovox in factory alarms?

I hate dealing with this dealer and would like to be prepared when I go there to either have them adjust it or replace it or something...
