03 Rolla Towing Question

Hey Everyone, This is my first post here so I apologize in advance if this question has already been answered. I'm thinking about purchasing a new quad and i'm wondering how my corolla would handle towing it around every once in a while. The quad itself weighs about 425 pounds dry. And I'd say a trailer is about 100-150. Along with some gear and gas cans. So there would probably be a total of about 600-700 pounds. That seems like a lot for such a small car but everything I've read says its can tow about 1200. Its an Automatic transmission if that makes a difference. And I would possibly have to tow it up a few small hills, nothing too serious though. I don't really want to have to depend on one of my friends if I want to take it somewhere. Thanks.

sorry that i don't have an actual answer for your question. but if it were up to me, that's a bit for a corolla to haul and i wouldn't do it to mine. it'll be tough on the tranny if its stop and go. you might be able to get away with highway driving. but if you do indeed to try to haul your quad, let us know how it turns out.

The weight is well below what the corolla can pull, I would install a tranny cooler though if I wanted to tow anything with the corolla.
