Question 07 Corolla Wiper Problem

Hi everyone,
I had my passenger side wiper frozen when i warmed up my car the other day and inadvertantly had my wipers on a low setting since it rained the nigth before. Needless to say the wiper on the passenger side does not work anymore. The motor still works and if i more the wiper up a little it will make more turn and then go all the way down. When it tries to make the second swipe it fails. What kind of part do i need to get and is this something easy that i should be able to do without having to take it to get service? Thanks.

Remove the cap at the lower end of the wiper arm, and use a wrench to tighten the nut at the linkage pivot.

You said the motor works, but does it sound different on the second swipe?

The splines may have stripped on the wiper arm or shaft. You may need to remove the arm and check the condition of the splines in the arm and on the shaft.
