winter rims

i am looking for some used winter tires and rims for my 07 corolla ce. from everything i read on the net the bolt pattern for my corolla, 5x100, matches that of several gm models like the sunfire, cavalier etc.

has anyone ever used a gm vehicle rim on their corolla? i see some winter tires for sale that will work with my car but they are on sunfire rims. i think they should work, the only issue i see is the offset is off a 2-3 mm, and the bore size of the sunfire is slightly larger, ie. 57mm? vice the corollas ~54mm.

Any suggestions? thanks.

I am not sure about the bore size, but wheel covers will not fit on the Sunfire rims.

i'm not surprised. not too concerned though as most people up here in ontario just go with the black steel rims showing for the winter. thanks.

The GM's centerbore is a bit larger. If you use the proper lug nuts (tapered) with the GM wheels, they'll center themselves and should be just fine. Other wheels that work are some small Chrysler (PT Cruiser, Neon, etc) and some VW (Jetta, etc).

I have a set of four near-new steel wheels from my '07. They're just setting in the garage. PM me if you're interested in them.
