Just Had An Accident Argg!!!!

So I just had an accident in my 06' Corolla. Traffic came to a stop in front of me, I stopped, and the Lincoln Towncar behind me didn't! He actually hit me under my back bumper, and dented/crushed the spare tire well pretty good, and scratched up the bumper. He must have hit with a bit of force, cause it dented/buckled the rear Quarter Panels? (Not sure if thats the right term.) Also bent a few spots that you can see when you pop the trunk, and there looks like a spot where the weld broke.

Of course it figures I am supposed to leave, and drive to NJ on the 29th, this happened last time I was supposed to go to NJ too. I think I have to stop going to NJ!

Anyway here are some pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/tms2010/...eat=directlink

Even though I don't have to pay for it, anyone have any idea what are we looking at as far as damage/repair cost/time goes?

Wow, that's a nasty buckle in the rear pillars! Our 06 Corolla was rear ended too, with only 155 miles tacked on it at the time of the accident, lucky for us it was contained to just the rear bumper. Still, with parts/laber, the bill ran just over $650 and change.

A mail truck(rubber bumper) backed into the rear of my car and all he did was dent/crease my bumper cover about a foot long right in the middle and slightly bowed out the sides of the bumper above the wheels, I had quotes from $550 to $850, the $850 quote wanted to touch up things that weren't even cause by the accident and charge this guy, the guy was nice and paid me out of his own pocket so I gave him the lowest quote, in my opinion that looks a $2000+ accident, I would have the insurance company give me a loaner...good luck

I love NJ, I lived there for 23 years! Moved to VA about 3 years ago, just going to visit.

Seems that the damage to the rear pillars is - like yours - (unfortunately) pretty common place when we take a decent hit to the back as you did... I've seen others with the same sort of bends and buckles.

Sometimes, if it wasn't for bad luck, we'd have no luck at all.

Here's to better luck from here on -
