2007 CE No Windshield Washer

I've tried the obvious:

It was empty.
I filled it.
didn't work

I pulled off the Y connection and sucked fluid up from tank. Getting fluid to the Y fine (tastes great...not!).

I don't hear the pump coming on. Does anyone know which fuse it is? The owners manual does not specify.

any help appreciated.

Check number 30, it is 15 amp.

If the fuse is ok, you will likely need a new pump motor.

My pump went, Toyota really buried it, I got to it by taking the passenger wheel surround liner off, bought a universal pump kit for around $15, wasn't a hard install and works fine now, the old pump was rusted from the inside out splitting the unit and started making noise before it died! I didn't have to take the whole surround off just the front and bent it back!

36K-36 months, should be under warranty, mine wasn't!

Since your washer tank is not frozen, which could have damaged the pump, I don't see how toyota could deny the pump under the bumper to bumper warranty. A new pump is $50. I would take it in and see what they say. Maybe you could check the connection to the pump to see if it is just loose?

Even thos its 17 degrees out, I went out and think I found a hint: the fog light body spacer is been knocked out, leaving an open gap to the w/washer tank/pump. I'm sure it was pelted with direct ice/snow from the road. I betcha either the wiring is disconnected or the pump ruined from stuff hitting it.

Radd - did you get the universal pump from an autoparts store? Autozone?

I guess I will need a body panel space too.

I'm guessing Toyota will not cover the pump claiming its due to a road "accident"

I got it at a Carquest in Jacksonville Florida last fall, Autozone wanted like twice the amount! It wouldn't hurt to see if Toyota would replace it, all you'll waste is a little time, I wore out my black outer door/weather seal by getting in and out of my car rubbing on it causing it to wear and split, Toyota replaced it free under warranty! I think the seal cost $80
