Installing backup camera on 2004 Solara

Hello,

I received a backup camera as a gift for my 2004 Solara convertible. According to the directions, I need to attach the camera's wiring to the car's reverse lights wiring. Is there a pre-existing hole near the license plate to feed the camera wires through? Additionally, I've never installed anything like this. Where would I find the reverse light wires and how do I install the backup camera?

I believe it would be fed through the license plate bulb area to your tail light assembly?

There's a few people who have done this same mod. Hopefully they'll pitch in.

As for mounting it, there's 2 choices, bracket it into your license plate, or conceal it using your trunk key hole.

I'm going to need more information than that (I'm a newbie). First off, how would you conceal it in a keyhole? Isn't there metal there? Second, how do I go about wiring to the reverse lights? Do i need to take stuff apart and use tools?
