When I first laid the harness out, and on the car, I couldn't figure out what was supposed to go where, with the only exception of the switch and the fog lamp plugs! Because the harness was all loomed up, you couldn't tell what wires went where either.
I took a small 12V battery I have from a radio controlled Jeep and some alligator leads and started playing with the harness. I found out which terminals on the relays did what, which wires needed power, which ones needed grounding, etc. It took me 2-3 hours of sitting there scratching my head before I just started cutting the harness up (because none of the wires were the correct length for our chassis). I still think it might have been worth the cost, because I figure I'd blow 50 bucks in parts and time running around town looking for the relays and switches (maybe I get the right ones, maybe I have to go back). So if the lamp housings totally sucked (they really do), I figure I'd at least break even on all the electrical parts. Having had to cut and essentially wire my own harness, I now question the value of getting the kit, because I'm replacing the lamp housings anyway, but oh well.
