6 1/2's fo sho. i suppose 5 1/4 would fit but you'd have to drill new holes I think. 6.5's should be a direct fit though

The Crutchfield site lists both 5-1/4 and 6-1/2 for the front doors, and all three: 5-1/4, 6-1/2, and 6x9, for the rear deck. Clear as mud.

Talking

I just did a complete speaker swap on my '04 S. I used Infinity Kappas all the way around and they do sound pretty good...

The rears are 6X9's and not too bad to install yourself. The hardest part is actually mounting them in the deck since the screw holes don't match up, and it's a tight squeeze to get hands/tools in there. I bought some adapters on E-bay for $10, but didn't end up using them even though they seemed like they would have worked well.

The fronts are 6.5" components. A little more involved here, as to truly get an improvement in sound you need to do some work.

-Drill out & remove the OEM plastic rings/speakers in the doors. You will never get good sound by just inserting new speakers in the old rings.
-Cut & route some MDF to bring the speakers 'out' to the proper distance from the door.
-Use some Dynamat both in the door cavity and behind the speaker at least. The more the better, but it is expensive.
-Find a good dry and secure place for the crossovers inside the doors.
-Use a dremmel or similar tool to clear out the inside of the wing panels for the tweeters, as the new ones are quite a bit bigger than stock. You may need to use a glue gun to secure them.
-I attempted this job a couple of times, but in the end I just had a good stereo shop do it all for $150 including dynamat. Unless you have an extensive shop and tools, it is a tough job to do right. Plus, now it is guaranteed for as long as I own the car. Any issues and I just bring it to them instead of give myself an aneurism trying to fix it...

Pushing all 4 speakers with a Kenwood 4 channel amp at 100 watts / channel. The Infinity's are nice cuz they run at 2 OHM's (more power) Also, have a RF Punch 10" Stage II sub with a seperate amp. All together a nice upgrade without breaking the bank...

Oh, and also using a Kenwood 438U deck. I like this one cuz it has 3 sets of preouts. 2 sets for a four channel amp (can use the fader) and 1 set for the sub (this deck also has a seperate sub volume). And the USB input on the face is nice too...
