Now that you have the codes, just clear them and see which one comes back. P0440, P0441, P0446 are possibly cause by a loose gas cap or a evap system vent valve or hose problem. P0776 is not a valid code; however, if it is a P0770, there may be a TSB for that concern, http://matrixowners.com/tsb/T-EG020-02.pdf.

If that is indeed the problem that you are having, then yes. That was just for reference, you may have to do some diagnosis first. Depend the on the mileage, some of the the parts might still be under warranty, like the ECM which is 80,000 miles or 96 months, the other parts a under the powertrain warranty, which would be 60,000 miles or 60 months.

According to the TSB, the only cheap repair is the speed sensor, everything else if you need more than the speed sensor, it will be above a thousand dollar. On the other hand, if your car has more than 100k, then chances are that the TSB isn't applicable to your vehicle. Should just go with the diagnostic procedure for the code. Have you verify what that code is, if it is not P0776?

Clear the codes and see which one reset first.

When was the last time you changed your tranny fluid? Ever? You can get the part from 1sttoyotaparts.com for cheaper, i am pretty sure the part number is 35250‑12030. Check out http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_200...html?hl=35250A for the location.
