Where did you take the drain plug out from? The driver's side of the car or the passenger side? What color is the fluid that you drain out?

How much did you put in? From the symptoms your described, it sounds like the oil got past the seals that hold the oil from going places it should not. Her car probably had a lack of oil pressure. Can you pull the spark plugs to see if they are coated in oil?

From what he described, he may have drain the transmission fluid and overfilled the engine with oil.

It does sound like the transmission fluid was drained out, rather than the engine oil.

Drain all the oil from the engine (this is the drain plug on the passenger side of the car) and re-fill with 4 quarts. I'm not sure how much transmission fluid the transmission takes. Does the 2003 model take the T-IV fluid?

Put 3 qts of Type T-IV transmission fluid in and then check it, probably take about 3.7 qts.

I made this mistake!!!!

Its hard enough to get under there and see what your doing. I undid the auto tranny and the fluid was brown i figured engine oil wrong!!! You better dump engine oil and autotranny fluid!!! I went to dealer for correct fluid i think took three quarts but have some left over!!! 2.7ish not sure! Ive been changing oil for years as well all my jeeps where easy put a 5gallon can underneath lots room! This sucks dood your tranny maybe broke now. Dont let her drive or start it ok!

A joke

Seriously, is this a prank post? If not, you should not be working on anyones car. Take it to the dealer or at least jiffy lube. Every indication is that you my have done serious damaged to the engine. The car won't move as it does not have trans fluid.

I think you did the same thing as N.E.O. mentioned. Check your trans fluid level.
