New hers, NEED HELP!

Hi, I'm new here and am in need of some help! 2 nights ago my sister come home and tells me my lights were on. So I go outside and flip them on and then off and they go off. Well, it happened again last night. I go out and try to turn them off and THEY WOULDNT TURN OFF! (car wasn't running btw). My dad comes out and trys to do something so they would shut off. Well, they shut off outta nowhere! We go back in the house. This morning when I wake up my battery is dead. My lights just mysteriously come on during the night and its draining my battery. Pepboys said I have an electrical problem. Maybe take it to Toyota? Maybe get a new battery?

Does the car have any auto light features such as auto on, auto off, etc? Does the car have day time running lights and if so where these on or the headlights?

My car has daytime running lights, but they've never came on while the car was off. When I went in that night, the lights were off. Hours later my sister comes home and says my lights were on. wtf?

You need to look at TSB EL003-03.

what year is your car the day time running lamp relay is connected to your parking brake so if you use the parking brake when you turn the car on and release the brake the lights come on if you don't use the brake the relay could be keeping the circuit closed and leaving the lights on or something like that. I think you should take it to Toyota stay a way from pep boys at all costs if you ask me.

Those parking break relays will inevitably fail.
Take it Toyota.
Can't politely say what Pep Boys did to my 1989 Bronco II, may she RIP.
