I Personally havent heard of one being installed on a car with a manual transmission, if it could be...
A) You could never park it in gear
B) It would have to somehow bypass the clutch sensor to start....so a lot of wireing

Sounds like it would be more of a pain than usefull.

I would urge you not to do this

I used to own a auto electronics shop about six years ago and installed hundreds of remote starts in years before that with one of the big chain stores. I would only do manual trans cars for friends and advised them all not to do it. You need to use a single pole double throw relay and use the output when starting wire to make a clutch bypass . Every person I installed this in a manual trans had thier car run into something one a house thankfully no one hit a kid but there were some crashed up rides
Unless there is a way for the unit you bought to know the car is not in gear I would not do this. Leave the car in gear or have someone driving your car and leave it hear and you will be ghost riding

just plug in a little house heater into the car =) all you need to do is turn on the switch, just like the block heater.

We have 3 2006 Corolla's and one 06 Matrix, each is manual transmission, and all but one corolla has a car starter.
Two of them have the same brand starter, one has a different brand.( i cant remember the names of the brands right now)

Basically the way they work is that when you turn off your car, you put the car in neutral and put on the parking break and then without touching the foot brake, you pull out the key. The car remains on without the key and then when you leave your car and close the door, the car turns off. Your now ready to start your car remotely if you follow that procedure.

If you press the foot break or dont put on the hand break, or dont have the car in neutral, the car will just turn off when you remove the key and it wont start remotely.

Generally it costs more to install a remote starter on a manual transmission car, because it requires more know how, and time to setup. The Toyota dealer installed one of the starters when we bought the car new, the other cars were bought used and we had the remote starters installed using the same shop the dealer recommeneded. Here in Canada you can also get places like Futureshop or Bestbuy to do this for you as well, if they have the staff that knows what they are doing ( they sell the same starters brand as well).
